Dixie (/ˈdɪksi/), officially the Great State of Dixie, is a state located in the Southern region of the United States. The state includes the provinces of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Dixie, initially called the Southern State, was admitted into the Union on January 20, 2021.

Often the most divided state in the union, Dixie has been a political melting pot since the creation of the state, with both left and right wing causes finding sympathy with the Dixie electorate. Both the Dixie Democratic Party and the Dixie Republican Party have been incredibly effective at establishing a firm base in the state, with each statewide election proving closer than the last. Some recent statewide races had even been determined by less than one total percentage point. In spite of this situation, or perhaps because of it, several nationally prominent politicians hail from the Southern State, including the current President and House Minority Leader, Adithyansoccer and Seldom237, both Republicans, and the former Democratic nominee for President, Tripplyons18.

Current canon (2021-)Edit
Dixie adopted its current constitution on February 18, 2021. This new constitution replaced the Texas Constitution and located the state capital in Austin. Republican politician MrWhiteyIsAwesome was appointed as the first governor, while the General Assembly seats were split among the Republican, Democratic, and Civic Parties. A Civic-Democratic coalition made up a supermajority of the General Assembly in the first term. This coalition passed several pieces of legislation, overriding the vetoes of Governor Whitey.
In April 2021, Democrat Tripplyons18 was elected Governor, and the Democratic Party won a majority of the Assembly seats.
